We receive 90% of our stimulus through the eyes. The other sensory organs account for the remaining 10%.
A blind / visually impaired person has 10% the quality of life compared to a sighted person.

BlindSMS started out as an R&D project to provide a real-time method of text entry with audio feedback in a mobile solution for the blind.
